The objective of this experiment is to use neutron reflectivity to study the surface structure and determine chemical depth profiles of Perflouropolyether-PDMS films in air and in water. We wish to understand the surface structures formed by these films in different environments. Particularly we wish to better understand the surface segregation of the Perflouropolyether component in water. We will also look at the effect of cross link density on surface reconstruction between air and water. We intend to relate the surfaces presented by these films to their antifouling properties and performance.In this resubmission we have made clearer the need to use neutron reflectivity to study and dynamic contact angle measurements demonstrating evidence of surface reconstruction and speed of surface changes.

本实验的研究目标为采用中子反射法(neutron reflectivity),探究空气与水环境下全氟聚醚-聚二甲基硅氧烷(Perflouropolyether-PDMS)薄膜的表面结构,并测定其化学深度剖面。我们旨在明晰此类薄膜在不同环境中形成的表面结构,尤其希望深入理解全氟聚醚组分在水环境中的表面偏析行为。此外,我们还将考察交联密度对空气与水环境间表面重构过程的影响。我们计划将此类薄膜所呈现的表面特性与其防污性能及应用效果建立关联。在本次重新提交的稿件中,我们已进一步明确采用中子反射法与动态接触角测量法开展研究的必要性,并补充了表面重构及表面变化速率的相关证据。
