The Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite (GOSAT) is the world's first satellite specifically designed to monitor the spatial distribution of greenhouse gas concentrations from space. It is primarily equipped with two scientific instruments: the Fourier Transform Spectrometer (FTS) and the Cloud and Aerosol Imager (CAI). The FTS is used for greenhouse gas detection, while the CAI is utilized to synchronously collect cloud and aerosol data.
