Primary dataset of prevalence and seroprevalence of Influenza A viruses (H3N2, H3N8, H1N1) in dogs used for meta-analysis
收藏资源简介:
1. Title Primary dataset of prevalence and seroprevalence of Influenza A viruses (H3N2, H3N8, H1N1) in dogs used for meta-analysis 2. Description This dataset contains the primary data used in a systematic review and meta-analysis of the prevalence and seroprevalence of Influenza A viruses (subtypes H3N2, H3N8, and H1N1) in dogs worldwide. The dataset includes information extracted from published observational studies reporting prevalence or seroprevalence of Influenza A virus infection in dogs. The extracted variables include study characteristics, geographic location, diagnostic methods, number of tested animals, number of positive cases, and viral subtype. The data were collected following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines and were used to estimate pooled prevalence and seroprevalence values using meta-analytic statistical models. This dataset was used in the study: Meta-Analysis of Seroprevalence and Prevalence of Influenza A Viruses (Subtypes H3N2, H3N8, and H1N1) in Dogs, published in the journal Animals (2024). The meta-analysis identified 52 eligible studies reporting prevalence or seroprevalence of influenza A virus in dogs worldwide, including thousands of animals across multiple continents. The dataset supports reproducibility, transparency, and secondary analyses related to epidemiology, zoonotic disease surveillance, and One Health research. 3. Methods Methods The dataset was generated as part of a systematic review and meta-analysis conducted following PRISMA guidelines. Literature search A systematic search was performed between March and June 2023 in the following databases: PubMed Web of Science OVID-EMBASE Scopus EBSCOhost Google Scholar Search terms included combinations of: "Influenza A" AND "Dogs" OR "Canine" Studies in English and Spanish with full-text availability were included. Inclusion criteria Studies were included if they: Reported prevalence or seroprevalence of Influenza A virus in dogs Included sample size and number of positive cases Used laboratory diagnostic methods such as: RT-PCR Virus isolation Hemagglutination inhibition (HI) Microneutralization (MN) Exclusion criteria Studies were excluded if they: Were duplicates Were reviews, letters, or experimental infections Did not provide sufficient quantitative data Data extraction For each eligible study, the following variables were extracted: First author Publication year Sampling location Sample size Number of positive cases Virus subtype Diagnostic method Data extraction was performed independently by two reviewers, and discrepancies were resolved through discussion. Statistical analysis Meta-analysis was performed using Jamovi software. Proportions were transformed using the Freeman–Tukey double arcsine transformation, and pooled estimates were calculated with: Fixed-effect model or Random-effects model (DerSimonian–Laird method) depending on heterogeneity levels. Heterogeneity was evaluated using: I² statistic Q test Publication bias was assessed using: Funnel plots Egger test Begg test 4. Dataset structure The dataset is provided as an Excel file (.xlsx) containing extracted data from studies included in the meta-analysis. Each row represents an independent study or dataset. Variables included in the dataset may include: Study identification variables Study ID First author Year of publication Geographic location Region or continent Epidemiological variables Total sample size Number of positive cases Prevalence Seroprevalence Laboratory variables Diagnostic method: RT-PCR Hemagglutination inhibition (HI) Microneutralization (MN) Virological variables Influenza subtype: H3N8 H3N2 H1N1 These variables were used to calculate pooled prevalence and seroprevalence values across studies. 5.
