As part of the joint federal / Länder measurement program for the North and Baltic Seas, the parameter "alcane, heptacosane, aliphatic hydrocarbon (27 C-atoms) in sea water" was determined in seawater.作为德国联邦与各州联合北海、波罗的海监测计划的组成部分，研究团队对海水中的"烷烃（alcane）、二十七烷（heptacosane）及含27个碳原子的脂肪烃"参数完成了测定。
