Sex Differences In Patients Infected With COVID-19 After Bariatric Surgery: A Multicenter Cross-Sectional Study

This was a multicenter, cross-sectional study conducted from December 1, 2022, to January 30, 2023. The study was sent by the nursing staff to each bariatric surgery patient in the form of an electronic questionnaire. The survey included three main parts :(1) basic information about patients, including age, sex, preoperative and postoperative BMI, and date of surgery; (2) COVID-19-related information, including COVID-19 vaccination status, symptoms after infection, drug use, time to negative conversion, etc.; (3) changes in body weight, physical exercise habits, and nutrient supplementation during infection. The disease characteristics of COVID-19 in these patients were evaluated.

本研究为一项多中心横断面研究，实施周期为2022年12月1日至2023年1月30日。研究由护理人员以电子问卷的形式向每位减重手术患者发放调研问卷。本次调查涵盖三大核心模块：(1) 患者基础信息：包括年龄、性别、术前及术后身体质量指数（Body Mass Index, BMI）、手术日期等内容；(2) 新型冠状病毒肺炎（Corona Virus Disease 2019, COVID-19）相关信息：涵盖新冠疫苗接种状态、感染后临床症状、用药情况、转阴时间等；(3) 感染期间体重变化、体育锻炼习惯及营养补充状况。本研究对该队列患者的新冠感染疾病特征开展了评估。
