کتاب شرح الاربعین الحدیث للشیخ الامام..احمد بن حجر الهیثمی
A copious Commentary (ممزوج) on the Forty Traditions of Nawawî (d. A. H. 676), by AḤMAD B. ḤAJAR HAITHAMÎ (d. A. H. 973), properly entitled الفتح المبین لشرح الاربعین. Cf. Ḥ. Kh. 241, and Stewart’s Catal., p. 158, iii.
The author says in his preface:
و لذا عنّ لی ان اکتب علیها شرحا یعرف رُواتها و یبین احکامها و یبین احکامها و یوضح غریبها و یعرب مشکلها و یشیر الی بعض ما یستنبط منها من الاصول و الفروع و الادب مع ایثار الایجاز و مجانبة الاطناب و ان کانت حریّة بالتطویل و الاکثار لما اشتملت علیه من بدائع الفوائد و الاسرار الخ
