Urine sediment collected from patients diagnosed with early and advanced DKD are subject to single cell RNA sequencing. The resulting data are used to define early tubule injury/repairing signatures. Overall design: Three female and five male hospitalized patients who diagnosed as DKD are enrroled in the study, with age range of 49–78 years old. Based on their eGFR, 8 patients are assigned into early DKD (eGFR ≥ 30 ml/min/1.73 m²) and advanced DKD (eGFR<30 ml/min/1.73 m²) group respectively. We used morning urine samples for the urine cell scRNA-sequencing. Due to the limited cell number in the urine samples, the 8 samples were combined for two batches, each batch contains 2 early and 2 advanced subjects.
