State Election 2014: Northern Metropolitan Region results summary

A recheck is a normal procedure undertaken by an election manager. After the first count of preferences all ballot papers are re-examined and counted again. Scrutineers are entitled to be present and should be aware of any corrected figures. This term should not be confused with the term recount. For an Upper House Region rechecks are conducted on all first preferences cast for each group above the line and the total first preferences cast for candidates within the group below the line. The data is presented by District and further broken down by Voting Centre or vote type

重查（recheck）是选举管理员（election manager）所采用的常规工作流程。在完成首轮偏好票计数后，所有选票均将被重新核验并二次计票。监票员（scrutineer）有权列席现场，且需知晓所有经更正的计票数值。本术语不得与重新计票（recount）概念相混淆。针对上议院选区（Upper House Region），重查操作将覆盖两类数据：各分组线上（above the line）投出的首轮偏好票，以及该分组线下（below the line）投票中各候选人所获得的首轮偏好票总票数。该数据集按选区（District）进行归类，并可进一步依据投票站（Voting Centre）或投票类型（vote type）进行细分。
