The role of decidua in parturition

Parturition is known regulated by multiple precisely orchestrated processes, while the landscape of this process remains elusive as the heterogenetic of maternal decidual which is largely omitted before. The disturbance of parturition initiation contributes to preterm birth which is suffered by 10% pregnant women worldwide. To comprehensive decrypt the process of parturition, we investigate the role of different cell types during this process at single cell resolution of maternal tissue and provide previously unappreciated insights in the process of parturition initiation.
