Overseas Chinese residing abroad who return to China to engage in economic activities such as investment and property acquisition, or handle matters including military service, entry-exit administration, and residence and settlement procedures, are required to obtain a Certificate of Overseas Chinese Identity or have their passports endorsed with overseas Chinese residency status to verify their identity, which serves as the legal basis for exercising their rights and fulfilling their corresponding obligations. This dataset includes three major categories of recent data: applications for Certificate of Overseas Chinese Identity, passport endorsements for overseas Chinese residency status, and applications for Overseas Chinese identity certificates for military service administration.
