Data_Lesmerises et al_PLoS One-2015

This dataset includes 1) the content of 139 fecal pellets found in 71 sites visited by 20 black bears collared with GPS/Argos telemetry devices, 2) black bear individual characteristics (age, sex, status) as well as 3) the proportion of different habitat types found in Brownian bridge ellipses covering the area potentially visited by bears in the hours preceding feces excretion, We used this dataset to link habitats that were visited to feces content and contrasted the foraging stratégies between groups of bears of similar age/sex/status.

本数据集包含三类核心数据：1）139份粪便颗粒样本，采集自71个采样点，这些采样点均由20只佩戴GPS/Argos遥测设备项圈的黑熊到访；2）黑熊个体特征信息，包括年龄、性别与个体状况；3）覆盖粪便排泄前数小时黑熊潜在活动区域的布朗桥椭圆（Brownian bridge ellipses）内不同生境类型的占比。本研究利用该数据集关联黑熊到访生境与粪便成分，并对比了年龄、性别及个体状况相近的黑熊类群间的觅食策略差异。
