VITAMIN D AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE IN THE COURSE OF COMMUNITY-ACQUIRED PNEUMONIA IN CHILDREN

Global epidemiological studies confirm that vitamin D deficiency may lead to an increased risk of influenza and respiratory tract infections. The purpose of our study was to study the characteristics of the influence and significance of vitamin D deficiency in young children with community-acquired pneumonia. The level of vitamin D plays an important role in the course, severity and unfavorable outcome of CAP in young children, which deserves special attention and requires a more in-depth analysis in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases of the bronchopulmonary system in children.全球流行病学研究证实，维生素D缺乏可增加流感及呼吸道感染的发病风险。本研究旨在探讨维生素D缺乏在婴幼儿社区获得性肺炎（community-acquired pneumonia, CAP）中的影响特征与临床意义。维生素D水平对婴幼儿社区获得性肺炎的病程、严重程度及不良预后具有关键作用，该议题值得予以高度重视，且需在儿童支气管肺系统疾病的诊断、预防与治疗领域开展更为深入的分析与研究。
