The KPK3 strain was a multidrug-resistant (MDR) Klebsiella pneumoniae clinical isolate from a bedsore secretions sample obtained from an 81-year-old male patient in December 2020 in Xian Yang, China. Whole-genome sequencing of strain KPK3 was performed to investigate the underlying resistance mechanisms, using PromethION platform (Oxford Nanopore Technology).
