Ice Algae and Phytoplankton in the Bering Sea. Version 1.0

The dataset contains quantitative information on the occurrence of algae in sea ice (bottom 0-2cm segment of ice cores), in the water column (5m depth) and the vertical flux as determined in sediment trap samples (deployed in 5m water depth below sea ice). All samples were collected during the spring 2008 and 2009 expeditions onboard the USCG icebreaker Healy as part of the Bering Sea Ecosystem Study-Bering Sea Integrated Ecosystem Research Program (BEST-BSIERP). BEST-BSIERP together are the Bering Sea project.

本数据集包含海冰（冰芯底部0-2厘米段）、水柱（5米深度处）内的藻类存在量定量数据，以及通过部署于海冰下方5米水深处的沉积物捕集器（sediment trap）样本测得的垂直通量数据。所有样本均采集自2008年和2009年春季的科考航次，该航次由美国海岸警卫队（United States Coast Guard, USCG）希利号破冰船执行，作为白令海生态研究-白令海综合生态系统研究计划（BEST-BSIERP）的组成部分。BEST-BSIERP整体即为白令海项目。
