The ciliate protozoan Ichthyophthirius multifiliis (Ich) is an essential parasite causing white spot disease in grass carp, leading to significant economic losses. Understanding the molecular basis of grass carp's response to ich has important scientific and environmental values. The transcriptional network analysis offers a valuable strategy to decipher the changes in gene expression in grass carp infected with ich. Our goal was to screen the genes and pathways that may be involved in resistance to ich in grass carp.
