HIV integration in the brain is linked to microglial 3D genome remodeling

HIV infection in the brain is linked to inflammation and activation of interferon signaling. To study the impact this has on microglia genome structure and function, we performed in situ Hi-C in interferon-gamma stimulated and unstimulated microglial cells. We also performed HIV integration site sequencing to determine how changes in genome structure relate to HIV integration.
