LIQUIDITY MANAGEMENT MECHANISMS IN THE BANKING SYSTEM OF UZBEKISTAN

Liquidity management is a core component of banking stability and financial sustainability. In emerging economies such as Uzbekistan, maintaining an optimal balance between liquidity and profitability is particularly important in the context of ongoing financial reforms and market liberalization. This article analyzes the mechanisms of liquidity management in the banking system of Uzbekistan, including regulatory requirements, internal risk management practices, and market-based instruments. The study evaluates the effectiveness of prudential norms and identifies structural challenges affecting liquidity sustainability. Policy recommendations aimed at strengthening long-term liquidity stability are proposed.
