A comprehensive catalog of the bacterial and archaeal genomes that comprise the gut microbiota is essential for studies targeting the composition, genes, or function of the bacterial and archaeal microbiota. This project aims to construct metagenome-assembled genomes from equine feces using long reads obtained from nanopore sequencing and to expand the database of the equine gut microbiota.
