资源简介:
This thesis examines how Filipino films from 1965 to 1985 used domestic spaces to represent class structure. During the Second Golden Age of Philippine cinema, filmmakers turned to utilising upper-, working-, and middle-class homes to produce and contest social inequality. Through analysing six films, the study explores how wealth, poverty, and power are expressed through the layouts, atmospheres, and physical conditions of houses. Drawing on film and architectural theories, urban studies, and visual methods, this research shows how Filipino films preserve the ways class differences were experienced within domestic spaces under Spanish and American colonisation, postwar reconstruction, and Martial Law.
