This collection contains mass changes for 17 glacier regions between 2002 and 2016 as time series and annual mass balances as published in: Wouters B, Gardner AS and Moholdt G (2019) Global Glacier Mass Loss During the GRACE Satellite Mission (2002-2016). Front. Earth Sci. 7:96. doi: 10.3389/feart.2019.00096 *** Time serie files GRACE_no_GIA_err.zip (= time series with GIA correction applied and cumulative GIA uncertainties INCLUDED in total uncertainties) and GRACE_no_GIA_noerr.zip ( = time series with GIA correction applied but cumulative GIA uncertainties NOT INCLUDED in total uncertainties): First column: files contain data (decimal years) Second column: mass anomaly w.r.t. arbitrary reference [Gigatonnes] Third column: uncertainty estimate [Gigatonnes] *** The annual mass balance files contain mass change between Mar 31 and Apr 1 and Sep 30 - Oct 1, respectively, for the 17 RGI regions defined in our Frontiers paper. Two files are provided, as total mass balance and specific mass balance.

本次提供两类时间序列压缩包:GRACE_no_GIA_err.zip(已应用冰川均衡调整(GIA, Glacial Isostatic Adjustment)校正,且总不确定度已包含累积GIA不确定度)与GRACE_no_GIA_noerr.zip(已应用GIA校正,但总不确定度未纳入累积GIA不确定度)。两类文件的列格式统一如下:第一列为十进制年份数据;第二列为相对于任意参考基准的质量异常值,单位为吉吨;第三列为不确定度估值,单位为吉吨。
年度质量平衡文件对应前述《Frontiers》论文中定义的17个兰多夫冰川目录(RGI, Randolph Glacier Inventory)区域,其时间窗口分别为3月31日至4月1日,以及9月30日至10月1日。本次提供两类文件:总质量平衡文件与比质量平衡文件。
