Attitudes to the Welfare State, 1998

The purpose of this survey is to obtain information for statistical and scientific assessment of people's attitudes to work, spare time and health as well as attitudes to distribution of responsibility and the organization of the welfare state. # # In connection with the data collection follow-up interviews are carried out which go into the themes of the survey in depth. # The data material is obtained by means of interviews with the selected persons in 1998. # #The following information is included from the interviews: #- Sex. #- Age. #- Family conditions. #- Material conditions, financial circumstances and consumption, # including housing expenses. #- Resources, health, education, knowledge and competence. #- Activities, work, spare time and family. #- Time used on work, spare time and family. #- Attitudes to work. #- Attitudes to spare time. #- Attitudes to health. #- Attitudes to knowledge and competence. #- Priority ordering of work and spare time. #- Priority ordering of own time in relation to the family. #- Responsibility of the individual. #- Responsibility of the family. #- Responsibility of the institutions. #- Responsibility of society. #- Attitudes to: # - basic welfare benefits, health and education # - transfer payments # - those who are badly off # - tax # - leave, early retirement and pension #As well as: #Placing on a political left-right scale from 0 to 10

此外，还将受访者纳入0至10分的政治左右倾立场量表进行定位。
