ROPOS Remotely Operated Vehicle Camera Deployed 2009-02-10

The Insite Pacific Zeus Plus HD Camera (zeus017) was deployed on 2009-02-10 on ROPOS. This Remotely Operated Vehicle is operated by Canadian Scientific Submersible Facility (CSSF). This device is a Remotely Operated Vehicle Camera. Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) video cameras are used for many purposes. Operators can use ROV cameras for instrument operations, navigation, and maintenance procedures. They can also monitor the composition, abundance, behaviour, and interactions of organisms, and investigate the characteristics of seafloor geology. ROV camera video may include deck camera footage, which is not derived from the ROV camera. It was deployed on a mobile platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 3.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
