Meteorological data is important basic information that representing climate change or variation, and thus crucial for studying water and carbon cycles, biodiversity and the predicting ecosystem evolution. Baotianman Forest Ecosystem National Observation and Research Station is located in the transition zone from the northern subtropical zone to the warm temperate zone in China, which is a unique geographic location. The ecological station was built in 1993, officially approved by the former State Forestry Administration in 2005, and selected as a national field scientific observation and research station in 2021, which is one of the Chinese Forest Ecosystem Research Network (CFERN) and the National Positioning Research Station for Field Scientific Observations (NPSO). This study is based on the "Methods for Collating Observational Data on Atmospheric Environmental Elements", which is a compilation of meteorological data. This dataset includes daily scale data of basic atmospheric elements at Baotianman Ecological Station from 2017 to 2022, including temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, wind speed, wind direction, precipitation, soil temperature (daily average temperature of 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 cm soil), soil humidity (daily average humidity of 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 cm soil), etc. It provides basic information for various researches of the forest ecosystems in the context of global change. 气象数据是表征气候变化与气候变异的重要基础信息,对于开展水循环、碳循环、生物多样性研究以及预测生态系统演化均具有关键支撑作用。宝天曼森林生态系统国家定位观测研究站地处中国北亚热带向暖温带过渡的独特地理区位。该站始建于1993年,2005年经原国家林业局正式批复设立,2021年入选国家野外科学观测研究站序列,为中国森林生态系统研究网络(CFERN)及国家野外科学观测研究站(NPSO)成员站之一。本数据集依据《大气环境要素观测数据整编方法》编制,数据源自气象观测资料汇编。本数据集涵盖宝天曼生态站2017年至2022年的基础大气要素日尺度观测数据,具体包括气温、相对湿度、气压、风速、风向、降水量,以及10、20、30、40、50厘米土层的日平均土壤温度、日平均土壤湿度等指标。本数据集可为全球变化背景下的森林生态系统各类研究提供基础数据支撑。
