Nanopore sequencing of mock and swine fecal communities

In this study we compared different DNA extraction protocols to extract DNA from dried fecal material stored on DBS filter paper. Here we tested four different extraction protocols using the ZymoBIOMICS Microbial Community Standard II (Log Distribution) and a swine fecal sample. The material mock and the fecal samplewere applied to the DBS filter paper. All extracted samples were then used in a full length 16s rRNA PCR and the amplicons were sequenced on an Oxford Nanopore minION machine. The data uploaded here are the demultiplexed fastq files for all the samples tested.
