There is limited understanding about the landscape factors influencing the spatio-temporal distribution of insects, and how these can be manipulated to suppress pest populations in crops. Theory suggests that the relative timing of pest and natural enemy arrival in crops may influence pest suppression; however there is a lack of data to substantiate this claim. We investigated the movement patterns of insects from native vegetation (NV) into nearby crop fields early in the cropping season, and the implications of these patterns for pest control services.
目前学界对影响昆虫时空分布的景观因子,以及如何通过调控此类因子以抑制农田害虫种群的认知仍较为有限。已有理论提出,害虫与天敌迁入农田的相对时序或可影响害虫防控效果,但目前缺乏相关数据支撑这一假说。本研究针对作物生长季早期昆虫从原生植被(Native Vegetation,NV)迁入邻近农田的迁移模式,以及该模式对害虫防控服务的影响开展了调查。
