Data for: "The colloidal fraction of dissolved organic matter extracted from a forest soil persists microbial decomposition"

These files contain the experimental data for the manuscript "The colloidal fraction of dissolved organic matter extracted from a forest soil persists microbial decomposition", published in Biogeochemistry under DOI 10.1007/s10533-025-01240-9.The study concerns bacterial decomposition of dissolved organic matter, extracted from the organic layer of a Norway Spruce soil. Cold water extracts were incubated for two months, during which several scattering, elemental analysis and spectroscopy measurements were performed at different time points. Incubation was compared with dialysis.The data set contains separate folders for the (1) 1H NMR data, (2) static scattering data (SAXS, SLS), (3) dynamic light scattering and z-potential measurements, and (4) elemental analysis and pH measurements.
