Police powers and procedures

Draws together statistics on: arrests for notifiable offences; stops and searches under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE); breath tests and police action in relation to motoring offences. Statistics on Arrests and the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE) are presented on a financial year basis. All statistics on fixed penalty notices, written warnings, vehicle defect rectification scheme (VDRS) notices and breath tests are presented on a calendar year basis.本数据集汇集了以下类别的统计数据：可起诉罪行（notifiable offences）逮捕情况、依据1984年《警察与刑事证据法》（Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984，简称PACE）实施的拦截搜查情况，以及交通违法相关的呼气测试与警方执法行动。其中，逮捕数据及1984年《警察与刑事证据法》相关统计均以财政年度为统计周期。所有涉及定额罚款通知书、书面警告、车辆缺陷整改计划（Vehicle Defect Rectification Scheme，简称VDRS）通知书及呼气测试的统计数据，均以日历年为统计周期。
