Storm Recovery at Hepburn through Cleanup and Revegetation #1

This project will assist with rehabilitation of areas of the Hepburn Shire damaged after the February 2015 storms. The Green Army team will work with Council and local community groups to ensure the recovery of natural assets and native habitat. The team will assist with the removal of vegetative debris from storm damage to reduce fuel loads, undertake tree management activities to ensure the ongoing safety of the area, as well as repairing tracks to better manage public access. Other activities to prevent erosion, protect water quality and support native habitat resilience to impacts of future storms include weed control and revegetation. The team will also install nest boxes and undertake flora surveys.

本项目将协助修复2015年2月风暴损毁的赫本郡（Hepburn Shire）区域。绿军团队（Green Army）将与郡议会及当地社区团体携手合作，推进自然资产与原生栖息地的恢复工作。团队将协助清理风暴造成的植被残体，以降低区域可燃物载量；开展树木管理作业，保障该区域的长期安全；同时修复步道，优化公共通行管理。为防治水土流失、保护水质，并提升原生栖息地抵御未来风暴冲击的韧性，团队还将实施杂草防控与植被恢复工作。此外，该团队还将安装野生动物巢箱，并开展植物区系调查。
