Comamonas thiooxydans sp. strain R2 was isolated from the continuous culture enriched by a low concentration of phenol expressed phenol-oxygenating activities with low apparent Ks (below 1M). The draft of genome sequence analysis and annotation of Comamonas thiooxydans sp. R2 was reported here, which may contribute to determine the phenol degradation gene cluster.
