Les Yeux Enchantes

Les Yeux Enchantes is a netart project by Beverley Hood, created in 1998, as part of the first Scottish netart online exhibition 'elevator', organised by graduates from the Electronic Imaging postgraduate course, at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee. The project presents an intimate love letter, revealed line by line through the newly developed html element 'frames'. The artwork was a response to the flurry of personal information that exploded onto the internet in the late 1990's, and was a reaction to the ease at which internet users 'overshared'. In this case, the intimate content is there, but the audience has to work to extract it.
