The goal of this study is to know the effects of a Wolbachia male-killing factor "Oscar" overexpression on the integrity of dosage compensation in lepidopteran insects. We injected Oscar or GFP cRNA into embryos of the silkworm Bombyx mori and the Asian corn borer Ostrinia furnacalis and performed RNA-seq analysis on them.
