The knowledge and quantification of the population and families residing in the Basque Country requires various statistical sources. On the one hand, population and family counts have been carried out decennially through the Population and Housing Census, as well as by Population and Housing Statistics (SPV) in the intercensal period; on the other hand, through the Municipal Population Update (APM) and using as main sources the administrative records of the Municipal Register of Inhabitants, municipal demographic information is renewed.要了解并量化定居于巴斯克地区（Basque Country）的人口与家庭规模，需依托多类统计数据源。一方面，人口与家庭数量的统计核算每十年通过人口与住房普查（Population and Housing Census）完成；在两次普查的间隔周期内，则依托人口与住房统计（Population and Housing Statistics，SPV）开展相关统计工作。另一方面，通过市政人口更新（Municipal Population Update，APM）项目，以市镇居民登记册的行政记录作为核心数据源，实现市镇人口统计信息的动态更新。
