This dataset defines the extreme high temperature thresholds ranging from once every 5 years to once every 100 years for 754 meteorological stations across China during 1979–2018 based on the dynamic return period, and includes the extreme high temperature frequencies calculated therefrom as well as the corresponding atlas of annual extreme high temperature frequency distributions.
