European Water Framework Directive (EC-WFD): Surface water bodies (OWK), management cycle 2009-2015

The maps contain administrative statements on surface water bodies relevant to WFD (flowing waters with catchment area > 10 km², standing water > 50 ha) in the Free State of Thuringia. As part of the necessary cross-border and transnational management, Thuringia has a share in two international river basin districts (Elbe and Rhine) as well as in the national river basin district Weser.
