Workplace and Gender Relations Survey of Reserve Component Members, 2004

<p>The target population for this survey consisted of Drilling Unit, Military Technician (MILTECH), Active Guard/Reserve (AGR/TAR; Title 10 and Title 32), and Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) members of the Selected Reserve from the U.S. Army National Guard, U.S. Army Reserve, U.S. Naval Reserve, U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, Air National Guard, U.S. Air Force Reserve, and U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, up to and including Paygrade O-6, with at least 7 months of service at the time the first questionnaire was mailed. The 2004 WGRR covered several topic areas: background information, satisfaction and retention intention, military/civilian personnel categories and civilian education status, military workplace, gender-related experiences in military, personnel policy and practices, and readiness, health and well-being. A non-proportional stratified, single-stage random sample of 76,031members was selected. The sampling frame was constructed from DMDC’s July 2003 Reserve Personnel Edit File.</p>

本调查的目标人群涵盖美国陆军国民警卫队、美国陆军预备役、美国海军预备役、美国海军陆战队预备役、空军国民警卫队、美国空军预备役及美国海岸警卫队预备役的精选预备役（Selected Reserve）人员，具体包括钻井单位人员、军事技术人员（Military Technician, MILTECH）、现役警卫/预备役（Active Guard/Reserve, AGR/TAR；即《美国法典》第10编与第32编人员）以及个人动员增编人员（Individual Mobilization Augmentee, IMA）；上述人群军衔最高至O-6级，且在首份调查问卷邮寄时已至少服役7个月。2004年WGRR调查涵盖多类主题领域：背景信息、满意度与留任意愿、军/文职人员类别及文职教育状况、军事工作环境、军中性别相关经历、人事政策与实践，以及战备状态、健康与福祉。本次调查采用非比例分层单阶段随机抽样方法，共抽取76031名样本，抽样框基于国防部人力数据中心（Defense Manpower Data Center, DMDC）2003年7月预备役人员编辑档案构建。
