FAIRsharing record for: CABRI Guidelines for Catalogue Production

This FAIRsharing record describes: These Guidelines are meant to produce catalogues of microbial resources held in Biological Resource Centers (BRCs) in accordance with CABRI (Common Access to Biological Resources and Information, http://www.cabri.org/) quality standards. They are the result of reviewing database and catalogue information, as well as their respective data authentication procedures, from all collection centres participating in the CABRI EU project (1996-1999).
Datasets are described for each of the following resource types: filamentous fungi and yeasts, bacteria and archaea, plasmids, phages, human and animal cell lines, plant cells, plant viruses, hybridomas, genomic libraries. Datasets include Minimum, Recommended and Full datasets descriptions.
Agreed data input rules and authentication procedures are presented in the "Data input & authentication" section. The export format is the format required to enable the loading and indexing of the catalogues on CABRI host and it is described in details and by examples in the "Flat file preparation" section. The way catalogues are transferred to the host is described in the "Flat file submission" section. This procedure is followed to update and to maintain the catalogues.
