ICESCR

Following document provides an overview of International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR) which is a subsequent document of Universal Declaration of Human Rights and primarily talks about promotion and implementation of Economic, Social and cultural rights of the people in the world. There is also a narration of its scope, background along with its key provisions. A special focus is given on the implementation of its provisions in Pakistan and challenges which this state is facing during this process. Implementation and monitoring mechanism has also been narrated in this document to provide a comprehensive overview of relationship between ICESCR and Pakistan.
