The man wears a striped shirt and a small lightly-colored cap. To his right, a blanket has been laid out on the grass with a box and bag nearby. In the background at center, a large metallic drum can be seen where the small stretch of meets with the field. Further to the right, the large bay is visible extending into the extreme background. At least four boats can be seen moving along the water. In the extreme background, a long line of trees can be seen extending from left to right.
