SAFARI 2000 Emissions Estimates, MODIS Burned Area Product, Dry Season 2000

The recently generated MODIS burned area product over southern Africa for the month of September 2000 was used to calculate regional biomass burning emissions from grassland and woodland fires for a number of trace gases and particulates at 1 km spatial resolution. A dynamic regional fuel load model developed for southern Africa in support of SAFARI 2000 fire emissions modeling is used to compute spatially explicit southern Africa fuel load data.本研究采用2000年9月南非地区最新生成的中分辨率成像光谱仪（MODIS）火烧面积产品，以1千米空间分辨率，计算了草原与林地野火产生的多种痕量气体及颗粒物的区域生物质燃烧排放量。本研究同时使用为支持SAFARI 2000火灾排放模拟而针对南非地区开发的动态区域燃料负荷模型，计算得到空间显式的南非地区燃料负荷数据集。
