Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) datasets: These data include all datasets published for 'CMIP6.FAFMIP.NERC.HadGEM3-GC31-LL.faf-stress' with the full Data Reference Syntax following the template 'mip_era.activity_id.institution_id.source_id.experiment_id.member_id.table_id.variable_id.grid_label.version'.
The HadGEM3-GC3.1-N96ORCA1 climate model, released in 2016, includes the following components:
aerosol: UKCA-GLOMAP-mode, atmos: MetUM-HadGEM3-GA7.1 (N96; 192 x 144 longitude/latitude; 85 levels; top level 85 km), land: JULES-HadGEM3-GL7.1, ocean: NEMO-HadGEM3-GO6.0 (eORCA1 tripolar primarily 1 deg with meridional refinement down to 1/3 degree in the tropics; 360 x 330 longitude/latitude; 75 levels; top grid cell 0-1 m), seaIce: CICE-HadGEM3-GSI8 (eORCA1 tripolar primarily 1 deg; 360 x 330 longitude/latitude).
The model was run by the Natural Environment Research Council, STFC-RAL, Harwell, Oxford, OX11 0QX, UK (NERC) in native nominal resolutions: aerosol: 250 km, atmos: 250 km, land: 250 km, ocean: 100 km, seaIce: 100 km.
Project: These data have been generated as part of the internationally-coordinated Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6; see also GMD Special Issue: http://www.geosci-model-dev.net/special_issue590.html). The simulation data provides a basis for climate research designed to answer fundamental science questions and serves as resource for authors of the Sixth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC-AR6).
CMIP6 is a project coordinated by the Working Group on Coupled Modelling (WGCM) as part of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP). Phase 6 builds on previous phases executed under the leadership of the Program for Climate Model Diagnosis and Intercomparison (PCMDI) and relies on the Earth System Grid Federation (ESGF) and the Centre for Environmental Data Analysis (CEDA) along with numerous related activities for implementation. The original data is hosted and partially replicated on a federated collection of data nodes, and most of the data relied on by the IPCC is being archived for long-term preservation at the IPCC Data Distribution Centre (IPCC DDC) hosted by the German Climate Computing Center (DKRZ).

本数据集作为国际协调开展的耦合模式比较计划第六阶段(CMIP6;详见《地球科学模式发展》特刊:http://www.geosci-model-dev.net/special_issue590.html)的产出成果,其模拟数据为解答核心科学问题的气候研究提供支撑,同时可供政府间气候变化专门委员会(Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, IPCC)第六次评估报告(IPCC-AR6)的作者作为研究资源使用。
CMIP6由世界气候研究计划(World Climate Research Programme, WCRP)下属的耦合模式工作组(Working Group on Coupled Modelling, WGCM)协调推进。第六阶段依托此前在气候模式诊断与比较计划(Program for Climate Model Diagnosis and Intercomparison, PCMDI)主导下完成的前几阶段工作,基于地球系统网格联合会(Earth System Grid Federation, ESGF)与环境数据分析中心(Centre for Environmental Data Analysis, CEDA)搭建实施体系,并配套多项相关活动保障落地。原始数据托管于分布式数据节点集群并实现部分复制,IPCC所依赖的多数数据集将由德国气候计算中心(German Climate Computing Center, DKRZ)托管的IPCC数据分发中心(IPCC DDC)进行长期保存与归档。
