The sales of milk powder products are influenced by objective factors such as regional development and demographic composition, so data collection and organization are carried out with provinces as the division units. This dataset collects and analyzes historical order data of milk powder products from users in Jiangsu Province, to understand local consumers' consumption status of this product, classify consumers into consumption tiers, provide data support for wholesale and retail industries of related products to formulate procurement and sales strategies, deliver better personalized goods and services to consumers, help enterprises accurately grasp market trends, improve consumer satisfaction, and enhance the industry's sales competitiveness. (e.g., Class A consumers: establish a dedicated customer relationship management team to maintain close one-on-one communication with them; Class B consumers: push personalized recommendations based on their consumption history; Class C consumers: recommend cost-effective product combinations to stimulate consumption...)
1. Data Collection: Sort out data from the database based on the consumption records of users in Jiangsu Province. The selected fields are: order date, customer ID, province, customer address, product category, valid order quantity (can), order settlement amount (CNY);
2. Data Processing:
a. First, use the SUM function to sum the order settlement amount field to obtain the total monthly sales amount (CNY); the specific month shall be subject to the fields in the data package.
b. Customer consumption proportion = (order settlement amount (CNY) / total monthly sales amount (CNY)) * 100%.
c. Rank the proportion of user consumption in total consumption from largest to smallest. The consumption classification adopts the ABCDEF sequence method: users with a proportion ≥1% are classified as "Class A Consumers"; those with a proportion ≥0.8% but <1% are classified as "Class B Consumers"; those with a proportion ≥0.6% but <0.8% are classified as "Class C Consumers"; those with a proportion ≥0.4% but <0.6% are classified as "Class D Consumers"; those with a proportion ≥0.2% but <0.4% are classified as "Class E Consumers"; those with a proportion <0.2% are classified as "Class F Consumers". All data in the package are valid consumption records, so there are no cases of 0 proportion.
