The Earth Observatory of Singapore - Remote Sensing Lab (EOS-RS) created this preliminary Damage Proxy Map (DPM) depicting areas that are likely damaged in Kunar Province, Afghanistan, due to the Mw6.0 earthquake on 31 Aug 2025 and its aftershocks. This map was derived from Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data acquired by the Copernicus Sentinel-1 satellites operated by the European Space Agency (ESA) before (04 May 2025 to 08 Aug 2025) and after (01 Sep 2025) the event.
