Officially confirmed by the China Earthquake Networks Center, a 7.9-magnitude earthquake struck the Myanmar region at 14:20 on March 28. To respond to this earthquake and facilitate researchers' analysis and study of the earthquake mechanism as well as the formulation of response measures, the population data of the earthquake-affected area is hereby shared. This dataset covers relevant population data of Myanmar, including population size and proportion of different age groups (e.g., the percentage of rural population in the total population, the total population aged 65 and above, the total population aged 15 to 64, etc.), gender-related demographic data (e.g., the number of females in the total population, the sex ratio at birth, etc.), and population growth data (e.g., annual percentage of population growth, etc.). These indicators can comprehensively reflect the demographic characteristics of Myanmar, including its age structure, gender structure, urban-rural distribution and population growth trends, and contribute to an in-depth understanding of the current status and changing trends of Myanmar's population.
