Annual Survey of Goods and Services, 2017-2019: Secure Access

<p>The <span style="font-style: italic;">Annual Survey of Goods and Services</span> (ASGS) provides annual statistics on the value of turnover from goods and services provided by the UK service economy.</p><p>The ASGS was launched by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) in summer 2017. It replaced the <span style="font-style: italic;">Services Turnover Survey</span>, which was last conducted in 2015.</p><p>The ASGS is an online survey that samples approximately 40,000 businesses in the service sector, covering approximately 63% of the total service industry turnover using data from 51 service industries. The ASGS measures turnover, asking respondents to breakdown their turnover by individual services and goods, including both UK and overseas customers. As businesses are becoming more diverse, there is a need to measure both primary (within their main classification) and secondary (outside their main classification) activity.</p><p>The ASGS does not include construction services, public administration and defence, compulsory social security, and banking. The public sector, non-profit making organisations, and government are also excluded from this survey.</p><p><i>Linking to other business studies</i><br>These data contain Inter-Departmental Business Register (IDBR) reference numbers. These are anonymous but unique reference numbers assigned to business organisations. Their inclusion allows researchers to combine different business survey sources together. Researchers may consider applying for other business data to assist their research.</p>

<p><span style="font-style: italic;">年度商品与服务调查</span>（Annual Survey of Goods and Services，缩写ASGS）可提供英国服务经济领域所提供商品及服务的年度营业额统计数据。</p><p>该调查由英国国家统计局（Office for National Statistics，缩写ONS）于2017年夏季正式推出，取代了最后一次于2015年开展的<span style="font-style: italic;">服务营业额调查</span>（Services Turnover Survey）。</p><p>ASGS为线上抽样调查，对服务行业约4万家企业进行抽样，依托51个服务行业的统计数据，覆盖该行业总营业额的约63%。该调查统计企业营业额，要求受访者按单项服务与商品类别拆分披露营业额，涵盖英国本土及海外客户的营收。随着企业经营愈发多元化，需同时统计其主营业务（所属标准分类内的活动）与副业（所属标准分类外的活动）的营收情况。</p><p>ASGS的调查范围不涵盖建筑服务、公共管理与国防、强制社会保障及银行业务，同时亦将公共部门、非营利组织与政府机构排除在外。</p><p><span style="font-style: italic;">与其他商业研究的关联</span><br>本数据集包含跨部门商业登记册（Inter-Departmental Business Register，缩写IDBR）参考编号。此类编号为匿名且唯一的企业组织识别编号，可支持研究人员将不同商业调查数据源进行整合。研究人员可申请获取其他商业数据以辅助其研究工作。</p>
