Digital Archive from an Archaeological Excavation at Rugby Sustainable Urban Extension, Phase 1, and Dollman Farm, Rugby, Warwickshire, 2015 to 2019

This collection consists of images, spreadsheets, databases and GIS data from an archaeological excavation by Cotswold Archaeology. Work occurred on land within the Rugby Sustainable Urban Extension (SUE) Key Phase 1 development area, Rugby, Warwickshire, between 2015 and 2019.The earliest features in the development site comprised a Middle Bronze Age well and a small pit of the same date. From the Iron Age a pit alignment, several intercutting ditches and additional discrete pits were discoved. Roman features were identified in most of the excavation areas. The finds assemblage was dominated by Roman material. Small quantities of late prehistoric, Anglo-Saxon and post-medieval pottery was also present, as well as an assemblage of waterlogged wood from the Middle Bronze Age well. The early prehistoric period was represented by a small assemblage of undiagnostic worked flint.
