Minutes of Meeting: RSCVD Steering Committee, 9 October 2024

The Resource Sharing Collaborative and Voluntary Document Delivery (RSCVD)Steering Committee met on October 9th to discuss new updates related to the group activites. As a result of meeting with the ILDS PLanning committee, it has been decided to allocate the RSCVD presenters in ILDS Baku the morning session from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM to allow a full exposure of the RSCVD project to the new attendees. The session will be in 2 parts: 1st part The Origins of RSCVD and 2nd part The Futrue and Case Studies. The second point discussed a possible collaboration between RSCVD and the Toolkit that was initiated at the ALA last July between Silvana Magiaracina and Lapis Cohen the founder of the Toolkit. The collaboration will focus on how to group both intiatives and allow better collaboration. A meeting was proposed on the 23rd of October between the RSCVD Committee and the Toolkit Committee. The third point discussed the Digital voucher with a planned meeting with the IFLA HQ to discuss ways to move forward with ILL payments. The fourth point disucssed the support to Palestinian Scholars in Gaza and West Bank with the Bodleian Library and how to involve RSCVD to allow libraires to benefit from the service. The last point discussed organizing a webinar about RSCVD in the MENA region to promote the RSCVD mission, raise awareness among the Middle Eastern Libraries , and reach Palestinian scholars. The webinar will be held in January 2025.
