This project investigates the impact of sugary and acidic products on human saliva behavior, specifically focusing on its tribological properties (friction and lubrication) and protein adsorption dynamics. Saliva plays a crucial role in maintaining oral health, as it aids in digestion, protects oral tissues, and facilitates taste perception. However, the consumption of sugary and acidic substances can alter its composition and functionality, potentially contributing to oral health issues such as tooth decay and erosion.
