The fold changes in mRNA levels in diabetes (DM) and DM+SERCA2a samples of selected genes were determined by microarray and RT-qPCR. Transcripts were selected based on their roles in insulin signaling, energy/metabolism, Ca2+ handling, structural remodeling and intracellular signaling.
