VPRS 12280 Establishment Account

This series records the payment of amounts to various parties, for goods or services, from the Mints Establishment Account.Suppliers were required to submit a claim form in duplicate, which, when accepted by the Mint, was sent back to the supplier along with the amount claimed. The supplier was to record their receipt of the money and return the claim forms back to the Mint. One copy of the form was then sent to London for audit, and the other was retained in Melbourne.Presumably, entries were made in this series upon payment of suppliers, after such claim forms were submitted.The columns are headed: Date, Name, How Received (eg cheque, money order, etc), Amount.
