The asymmetric development of strategic coordination across the life cycle

This dataset and replication code support the findings reported in "The asymmetric development of strategic coordination across the life cycle" (Brañas-Garza, Jorrat & Lomas, 2026). The data combine two studies sharing the same experimental paradigm: two one-shot coordination games designed to isolate payoff-based and risk-based coordination principles, with elicitation of stated reasoning after each choice. The sample includes 2,131 participants spanning late childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood (ages 10–20), recruited from Spanish secondary schools, vocational training programs, and universities. The replication code reproduces all figures and tables in the main paper and Supporting Information, including OLS regressions, logit models with average marginal effects, progressive subsample robustness checks, and a multiple imputation robustness check (MICE-PMM).
